Welcome to the colorful and dynamic world of Natalia Giacomino Artist ! Here, creativity dances with passion, and art flows like an unstoppable river of emotions. In this delightful article, we pull back the curtain on the musings, inspirations, and creative compulsions of a woman who wears many hats: artist, architect, mother, runner, triathlon athlete, and businesswoman. Let’s dive in!
Where I Get Inspiration
Inspiration is everywhere! It’s like a hidden treasure, waiting to be discovered. For me, it emerges from exhibitions, the work of fellow artists, theaters, shows, anything that breathes life into the realm of art. I’m inspired by the world around me, the vibrancy of human interactions, and the unseen forces that shape our experiences. Energy is my compass. People may say what they want, but the energy around them speaks volumes and it never lies.
Why I Need to Paint and Am I Stuck?
Painting isn’t just an activity; it’s a necessity. Sometimes, I don’t feel the need to paint at all,it’s like journaling. Just as a diary captures thoughts and emotions, my canvases hold my inner dialogue. Painting allows me to check in with myself to ask, “Am I happy? Angry? Aligned with my true self?” It’s a constant, evolving conversation.
I’ve been painting since I was very young. At 17, I was sketching portraits of my classmates, but my heart has always leaned toward abstraction. Emotions, especially sadness, find a way to pour out onto my canvases, creating intensity that can be felt by anyone who views my work.
The Joy and Fear of Exhibiting Art
When I lived in China, I left some of my artwork behind, to good friends. By last year, my home was so full of paintings that there was no more space, that’s when I knew it was time to share my work with the world. The idea of exhibiting was thrilling but terrifying. It felt like stepping onto a stage naked, with every brushstroke revealing a piece of my soul.
The experience, however, was exhilarating! Participating in the Dulwich Open House and attending evening socials connected me with incredible artists. I felt both small and immensely grateful to be among such talent. The vulnerability was worth it, every conversation, every new connection reaffirmed my love for this artistic journey.
A Complex Soul
Who am I? I am a kaleidoscope of identities: a complex woman, an artist, an architect, a mother, a runner, a triathlon athlete, and a businesswoman. These roles shift and swirl in no particular order. Life is a beautiful mess of shifting priorities, and I embrace the unpredictability of it all.
And what’s next? Who knows! That’s the magic of creativity, it’s ever-evolving, just like the person behind the paintbrush.
Thank you for joining me on this playful adventure into the heart and mind of NGArtist. Until next time, may you find inspiration in every corner of your life!
